The Bible urges us to come out of them and be different, that is ditching the ways of the world, the filth there in and all that lures one away from God or replaces Him in our lives and hearts. No matter how is sugar coated , no matter how logical it appears to be no matter how appealing and ephemeral in satisfaction it is, if it not an act, practice , engagement or task that deepens your knowledge of God, makes you intimate the more with God, love Him better, builds virtues in you and influence the world positively it is not worth continuing with. This is where sensitivity in the spirit and being led by the Spirit of God come to play, when you know that your life comes before the sacrifice or service you are bringing forward you will want to zoom in the more on it to ensure that you don't conform to the world , you don't allow sing to weigh you down but you focus on Christ to draw inspiration from Him by enduring all that is to endure now for the bigger and better you that God is crafting.
Examples abound of people who are God lovers and pleasers, I do agree that they are not many in the world today as people are lovers of themselves and have hitchy ears and consequently polluted hearts as the Bible forewarned us, however, there are a witnesses all around us to help our journey in life to ensure that we are holy at all times and a vessel that God can use as and when due/He pleases.
Are you sensitive to joining as it affects your journey ? Are you focused of the life after this as no unholy will find its way to God's place or reward ? Recall evil communication corrupts good manners...
