1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, [e]and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. (NKJV)
Biblical writings are for the primary purpose of making us have unique encounter with the word of God which should mix with faith in our heart and build deep conviction that takes us far in our journey in life, walk with God and work for Him.
When you are assured of where your eternity lies, you should be able to continue walking in faith in all that you do while on earth and it should be immediately apparent that you are a strong and consistent believer (in God).
As espoused in 2 Timothy 3:16- the word of God should reproof, correct and instruct us in righteousness so that we are aligned with the Master at all times and also we attain maturity like the Disciples did in John 17 and Christ saddled them with a higher responsibility of training, grooming and nurturing others, we would not get to that exclusive class by mental assent but by learning lines upon lines, precept upon percept, a little here and there till we earn the trust of the Master that we are good to go. The word of God is for our edification, sanctification, saturation and God's glorification as we stir clear of the lust of the eyes , of the flesh and pride of life.
A life committed and given to the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit will be groomed, grounded, loaded and therefore needed. Are you in synch with the Holy Spirit ?
